Marc A. Weinstein

Marc Weinstein was appointed Executive Director of the National Association of Forensic Economics on January 3, 2014.

Mr. Weinstein has a BBA in Actuarial Science and an MBA in Finance from Temple University (1991 & 1995, respectively). His education has been supplemented by various continuing education courses offered by a variety of professional organizations. He has spoken before professional organizations and educational groups on various aspects of forensic economics.

Mr. Weinstein has provided forensic economic and actuarial consulting services to attorneys, insurance companies, governmental agencies, and public and private corporations since 1991. He specializes in providing evaluation, verification, reporting, and expert testimony of economic damages arising from:

  • Personal Injury
  • Wrongful Death
  • Employment Discrimination
  • Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA)
  • Marital Dissolution / Divorce / Support
  • Other Damage Intensive Litigation

Typical cases include catastrophic injuries arising from auto accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, products liability, assaults, wrongful termination, family law issues, and civil rights violations. Specific areas of expertise include lost earnings and associated fringe benefit calculations, life and worklife expectancy, productivity, present and future values, lost retirement benefits, personal maintenance expenditures, prevented household services, earnings capacity for family law matters, and future medical cost calculations.

His current responsibilities include assignment planning, assistance with all aspects of the discovery process, preparation of critiques and suggested cross-examination of opposing experts and witnesses, evaluation of economic damages, and expert testimony. Responsibilities are carried out through a comprehensive document analysis and formulation of strategies for economic modeling through the coordination of expert vocational and life-care opinions (The TEAM Approach) arising from the aforementioned litigation.

His experience also includes forensic evaluation of insurance claims involving business interruption, fidelity, loss of profits, bankruptcy, breach of contract, and valuation of businesses, intellectual property infringement, and the determination of financial motives with respect to arson.
